Sister Amatullah D. Ali-Muhammad is a Wellness Respite Associate for Collaborative Support Program of New Jersey, a community short-term care facility in Haledon, N.J. In her role as a Respite associate, she has applied the eight principles of wellness to improve the care coordination of the guest with multiple emotional and psychological concerns. She joined the association in 2021 and has spent most of her career in emotional and mental wellness. Amatullah has completed certifications in Domestic Violence, Drug Rehabilitation, Adolescence Conflict Resolution, and Advocate for Mental illness. Her responsibility now is the care and assisted living of guests with reintegrating back into social living. Amatullah has been a member of Imam W.D. Mohammed’s Community since 1990 and served as a teacher, event coordinator, greeter, and supporter of her husband, Imam Abdullah S. Ali-Muhammad, also a mother of 4 and grandmother of 12.
